JETRO is one of startup ecosystem builders in Japan, and we perform a joint research with University of Tokyo and Sumitomo life insurance co. to scale up startups into global.
As a result of the research, we identified the following three elements to scale up startups into global.
- (overseas) mentors & investment
- serial entrepreneur
- diversity
Thus, in this seminar, we will invite lecturers from the U.S. top-tier accelerator, who will explain how each ecosystem has been developed with integration of the above three elements. Afterwards, we will discuss the current situation of Japanese startup ecosystem and how we should integrate three elements in Japanese societies. Following by that, we will invite couple of startups which is satisfied with the above three elements.
