Aichi Prefecture held a ‘Government Pitch’ event on the 14th of September, where officials from local municipalities presented urban development challenges and solicited solutions from startups. This marked the prefecture's first such initiative.

Eight municipalities participated, seeking emerging companies with technologies or ideas ranging from tourism to transportation infrastructure.

Applications from startups will be accepted until mid-August. Afterward, matching with municipalities will be facilitated. For selected projects, the prefecture plans to support costs such as those for proof-of-concept experiments.
