Applications for the Techstars Tokyo 2026 cohort are now open, with a submission deadline of May 6. Designed as a sector-agnostic accelerator, Techstars Tokyo attracts founders across a wide range of domains, including AI, robotics, digital infrastructure, and data-driven intelligence; all focused on addressing real-world challenges.

The 2026 program will commence in August and run for three months. Participating startups will gain access to a Techstars’ support network that includes more than 70 Tokyo-based experts alongside its global mentor community.

Selection remains highly competitive, with applications received from more than 120 countries annually and an acceptance rate of less than 1%. Many alumni have gone on to secure follow-on funding and expand into overseas markets after graduation.
