T2, a startup developing autonomous truck systems, raised approximately 5 billion yen in Series B first close from 11 investors including Mitsui O.S.K. Lines' corporate venture capital and Sumitomo Warehouse. The funding brings cumulative capital raised to over 16.5 billion yen.
T2 aims to realize Level 4 autonomous truck technology to address driver shortages in Japan's logistics sector. The company has been conducting commercial operations since summer 2025 with Level 2 self-driving trucks, expanding its user base to 23 companies within one year.
The company plans an additional close of Series B funding during fiscal 2026 while maintaining its target of launching Level 4 autonomous highway transport services from fiscal 2027. The funds will be invested in technology development and business expansion for practical implementation.
