On March 12, Monozukuri Ventures will convene Deep Tech Forum Tokyo 2026 in Otemachi, bringing together deep tech startups, venture capital firms, corporates, and policymakers from Japan and overseas. The forum is co-hosted by Loftwork, with special cooperation from Inspired.Lab and Mitsubishi Estate.
Now in its 11th global edition and third installment in Japan, this year’s forum will be held under the theme Japan’s Deep Tech Meets Global Capital. As venture markets in the United States and Europe undergo structural recalibration, discussions will focus on how capital formation models, fund specialization, and industrial policy shifts are influencing the trajectory of deep tech investment globally. Particular focus will be placed on the rise of Physical AI—technologies applying artificial intelligence to robotics, manufacturing, and other real-world systems.
Keynote speaker Adeo Ressi, founder of VC Lab, will offer firsthand insight into the rapid expansion of micro-VC funds and the emergence of niche, sector-focused investment vehicles. Additional sessions will spotlight European fund-building strategies in climate, manufacturing, and robotics, as well as discussions on economic security and industrial competitiveness.
