DM Mitsui Sugar Acquires Senior Life Create to Expand Senior Nutrition Business

DM Mitsui Sugar decided on September 10, 2026, to acquire all shares of Senior Life Create (SLC), which operates the elderly meal delivery service "Takuhairyori 123." The acquisition price is undisclosed, but DM Mitsui Sugar plans to acquire all SLC shares by the end of September and make it a wholly-owned subsidiary.

SLC provides the "Takuhairyori 123" meal delivery service through approximately 350 franchise locations nationwide and also operates "Tokusuke-kun," a food wholesale business for elderly care facilities. With 157 billion yen in sales for the fiscal year ended February 2026, SLC serves approximately 1,300 hospitals and elderly care facilities, serving customers ranging from elderly individuals at home to those in care facilities.

In addition to its sugar business, DM Mitsui Sugar is strategically reallocating management resources toward the Life Energy business centered on sports and senior nutrition. Through this acquisition, DM Mitsui Sugar aims to expand its senior nutrition business by combining SLC's customer relationships, sales channels, and product supply base with the group's nutrition and health expertise to comprehensively cover hospitals, facilities, and home-based care.
