Helical Fusion, a nuclear fusion technology startup, announced that it has raised approximately 2.7 billion yen through third-party allotment to develop an experimental device for nuclear fusion reactor development. The funding was received from business companies including Konoike Transport and Mitani Sangyo. The company aims to achieve practical demonstration by around 2030 through its helical-type nuclear fusion reactor, and has begun construction of the final demonstration device at the National Institute for Fusion Science in Toki, Gifu Prefecture.
