Tokyo-based digital transformation (DX) startup Information Strategy Technology has opened a development and sales base in Kitakyushu City. In addition to providing information systems for major companies and support for in-house DX, Information Strategy Technology also offers a matching service for IT engineers. This is the company's first regional branch, prompted by their listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in March 2024.
The base is located in the recently-completed smart office building Bizia Kokura, and will start with two staff members in the first year. From 2025 onwards, the company plans to expand its functions by hiring more than 10 engineers each year.
Kitakyushu Mayor Kazuhisa Takeuchi expressed his hopes for the opening of the new branch, saying that the arrival of IT companies is an important measure for preventing the outflow of young people and women from the city. Since 2014, the city has been focusing on attracting IT companies. So far, it has attracted 188 companies, creating 4,610 new jobs.
