The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) released the US<>Japan VC Playbook, a strategic guide aimed at strengthening collaboration between US investors and Japan’s startup ecosystem.

The Playbook is part of JETRO’s VC education initiative, designed to provide Japanese venture capitalists with global investment perspectives. Developed in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and global venture firm 500 Global, the program incorporates insights from immersive training in Silicon Valley.

The guide offers practical insights into navigating structural, cultural, and legal differences between the US and Japan, and how both parties can better align on deal structures, growth strategies, and ecosystem dynamics.
