Kaga City establishes Kaga Future Salon

Support for entrepreneurship is gaining momentum in Japan's regional cities. On 25 July, Kaga City in Ishikawa Prefecture announced the establishment of the Kaga Future Salon, a private organization to support new business creation. This initiative is attracting attention as a progressive example of how to build an entrepreneurial ecosystem in a regional city.
Kaga Future Salon comprises 12 diverse members, ranging in age from 20s to 60s, and provides the following support:
- Assistance setting up a business.
- Advice on fundraising.
- Business networking.
- Publicity using social networking sites.
In addition, plans are underway to establish a 'challenge shop' where entrepreneurs can incubate their business ideas.
