#Innovation, #StartupPitch, #University

The Kyoto University of Foreign Studies hosted this year’s Hult Prize campus competition on January 10. Known as the “Nobel Prize for students,” the program challenges participants to approach social challenges through designing innovative, business-driven solutions aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Ten teams from the university presented ideas.

The winning team, GoGreen, proposed a community-centric recycling and composting app addressing gaps in local waste management. pedalVOLT, the 2nd-place team, introduced a pedal-powered generator in rural regions. 3rd place went to 4udogs, which created an AI-powered smartphone tool to diagnose crop diseases and support agricultural productivity in developing areas. The top team advances to the national round, while the runnerup teams may also progress after review.
