NTT Communications successfully demonstrated Japan's first network slicing trial using Starlink satellites in collaboration with TBS Television. By combining mobile base stations, Starlink, and network slicing technology, they ensured stable video quality for terrestrial broadcasting in congested environments and emergency situations. The trial showed that satellite and slicing technology can provide reliable communication without traditional relay vehicles.
