Asu Capital Partners has begun recruiting for Batch 2 of AG1, Japan’s first full-scale startup residency program, in partnership with DeNA.
AG1 is designed to support founders pursuing a “Japan to Global” vision by creating an immersive environment where global talent and Japan-based entrepreneurs can build startups from the ground up. The 10-week, in-person program takes place in Tokyo, where selected teams live and work together while focusing intensively on product development.
The inaugural Batch 1, launched in October 2025, brought together seven teams from around the world. Participants showcased their progress at a demo day in December, and several have since secured funding.
The program provides free accommodation and coworking space for three months. While participation does not require upfront equity, seed investment may be considered after the program upon mutual agreement.
