At a startup committee meeting held by Keidanren on March 23, 2026, Naohiro Nishiguchi, CEO of Startup Genome Japan, presented Japan's international position in the startup ecosystem. According to the Global Startup Ecosystem Report (GSER) published by the US-based Startup Genome, Tokyo ranked 10th in 2024 but dropped to 11th place in 2025.
