Toyota announced a $3.6 billion (approximately ¥580 billion) investment in its San Antonio, Texas facility to establish a new production line for the Tacoma pickup truck. The new line is scheduled to commence operation in 2030, with Tacoma production transitioning from Mexico's Baja California plant over approximately four years. This investment is part of Toyota's broader $100 billion additional investment commitment in the US announced in 2025.
