ZEALS Announces D1 Semi-Domestic Compact Humanoid Robot

ZEALS officially announced the D1, a semi-domestic compact humanoid robot optimized for Japan's indoor environments, on August 5, 2026. The D1 is designed for healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and hotel settings, offering natural dialogue, reception, navigation, and multilingual support, along with dual-arm capabilities for material handling and work assistance to address labor shortages. Priced from 5 million yen, ZEALS began accepting pre-orders in August. Rather than focusing solely on sales volume, ZEALS emphasizes actual operational time as a key metric for social implementation, targeting 100 units produced and 10,000 cumulative hours of operation by the end of fiscal 2026, beginning deployment in healthcare followed by expansion to other industries.
