Additional programs announced for DIG SHIBUYA 2025

SHIBUYA CREATIVE TECH COMMITTEE announced the second round of official programs for DIG SHIBUYA 2025, which will be held from Saturday, February 8th to Tuesday, February 11th in Shibuya.

■ Event highlights

DIG SHIBUYA 2025 Opening Event & Meet-up

On the first day of DIG SHIBUYA, all the digital artworks that will be shown at the Scramble Crossing at night will be gathered together. At the meet-up you can exchange ideas with artists, entrepreneurs and engineers, you can enjoy music and the night view of Shibuya and music while making new connections.

Pineapple Scramble

Guest artist Ryuichi Ohira will host the Pineapple Scramble event on Shibuya Koen-dori. Along with a parade featuring a pineapple float, there will be a special live performance by rapper Tamaki Roy, and a target-shooting competition, and other events — with a special present for the target-shooting competition winner! This is a great way to experience participatory art.

DIG SHIBUYA DG Drone Show

The largest drone show ever put on in Japan!

This is a special event that will only be held once during DIG SHIBUYA. The date has not been decided yet, and it will be held on a guerrilla basis, so keep an eye on the Shibuya sky.

“Hello! Mr. Pink” by Philippe Catrysse

Actor, director, singer, and composer Philippe Catrysse's art object “Mr. Pink” makes its first appearance in Japan. Full of kindness and humor, we are sure he will bring smiles to Shibuya.

NEWVIEW FEST 2024

A collection of works including the finalists of the NEWVIEW AWARDS 2024. You can enjoy the spatial expression of a new generation of art through XR experiences and live performances that take you on a walk around the city.

Interactive Installation “Echo”

A collaboration between Canadian creative studio mirari and Toppan Digital. Voices and movements are converted into pulses of light, transforming Miyashita Park into a fantastical space.
