
Luxana Biotech is a preclinical antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) development company based on proprietary nucleic acids with unique cross-linking structures. We have created the LuxiAP™ ASO drug discovery platform for the central nervous system and ophthalmic fields. The company has collaborative research agreements with multiple pharmaceutical companies and maintains its own ASO pipeline. Leveraging Fresnel Liquid Crystal Lens Technology, Elcyo has made it possible to create glasses that maintain focus at any distance, addressing a wide range of vision challenges across healthcare, entertainment, and beyond.

We offer technology licensing to various companies for a "perfect alcohol-based sanitizer" effective against food poisoning bacteria that are resistant to standard alcohol sanitizers. The reason these bacteria survive even at 100℃ is their ability to synthesize a robust structure called a spore. We have discovered that substance Y inhibits spore formation, and by incorporating it into alcohol-based sanitizers sterilization becomes possible. Furthermore, substance Y is safe and secure; when added to food products, the bacteria can be killed by heating at 100℃. We are therefore also proposing a new sterilization method.

Cells in living organisms function in an orderly manner by cooperating with surrounding cells while interacting with extracellular proteins. However, in cell culture systems, extracellular proteins are largely absent, making it difficult for cells to function properly and often causing them to exhibit physiological activities that differ from those observed in vivo. Our company conducts research on extracellular matrix proteins located outside the cell, and by applying the findings from this research to cell culture technologies, we aim to contribute to the advancement of regenerative medicine and the realization of alternatives to animal experimentation.
