Close collaboration with Nagoya Institute of Technology and Kyoto University is advancing the development of high-sensitivity rhodopsins specialized for vision restoration. This technology overcomes the longstanding issue of insufficient light sensitivity in the field of vision restoration. Furthermore, through joint research with Keio University School of Medicine, applied research on the foundational technology is progressing toward the practical realization of the world’s first gene therapy for vision restoration.
