
Antler Japan announced that it made pre-seed investments totaling JPY240 million in 10 startups during 2025, highlighting Japan’s growing role as a launchpad for globally scalable ventures. The firm also revealed plans to increase its initial investment amount for its 2026 Inception Residency, scheduled to begin on May 11, 2026.
Antler Japan received more than 2,100 applications in 2025, selecting the top 0.5% of teams for investment. The chosen startups operate across deep tech, AI, robotics, logistics, compliance, and applied sciences, with a strong focus on global markets. Each startup received JPY24 million in pre-seed funding, alongside hands-on support through Antler’s Inception Residency model, covering company formation, validation, strategic development, and fundraising preparation.
Antler Japan will host a Demo Day on February 13, offering investors the opportunity to engage directly with its portfolio companies.
