CRREM Japan 2026 explores zero-emission Tokyo

#sustainability, #events

The CRREM Japan Forum 2026 will take place at CIC Tokyo on March 11 2026, bringing together leaders from real estate, finance, government, and technology to accelerate Tokyo’s zero-emission strategy.

The forum is co-hosted by GOYOH, CRREM (Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor), and the CIC Tokyo Environment & Energy Innovation Community. At its core is CRREM, a global standard tool that calculates science-based carbon reduction pathways for commercial buildings in line with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C and 2°C targets toward 2050.

The program will feature a keynote by CRREM CEO Andrea Palmer on global decarbonization trends among institutional investors and financial institutions. Representatives from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will outline the city’s 2050 Zero Emission Tokyo strategy. A corporate panel including L’Oréal Japan, Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, and Kajima will discuss how ESG requirements and tenant expectations are reshaping real estate investment and asset management.

Startups will also highlight how technology—linking buildings, mobility, and sustainability data—can enhance urban decarbonization efforts and unlock new value in the property sector.

The event is free to attend, hybrid in-person/online, and has simultaneous Japanese–English interpretation.
