MUFG Bank announced the MUFG Startup Summit, a business networking event in collaboration with Aichi Prefecture’s Shinkin Banks Association. Held at Nagoya’s Station Ai, one of Japan's largest startup hubs, a total of 108 startups will showcase their technologies through booth exhibitions and pitches across four floors. The event will also invite companies that are clients of all 15 credit unions in the prefecture, aiming to connect MUFG's customer base of large corporations with the credit unions' focus on small and medium-sized enterprises to strengthen the regional supply chain.

Elsewhere in Aichi, MUFG co-hosted an exhibition for the Toyota Group in January, with a second event planned in the autumn. It will also expand collaboration with regional credit unions through international seminars and connecting with MUSTI, a regional revitalization organization. Ichiro Takahara, Deputy President in charge of the Chubu region, stated, "the growth of SMEs and startups is essential for revitalizing the regional economy."
