Pirika Inc. is an environmental technology startup that develops and provides “Takanome,” a solution that uses AI-powered image analysis to visualize the distribution of street litter, and “Pirika,” a social platform where users can record and share cleanup activities. By combining environmental data collection with citizen participation, Pirika supports municipalities and corporations in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of litter management. Through these services, Pirika helps visualize environmental conditions and promotes data-driven actions toward cleaner cities and a circular society.

Developing a system that leverages algal blooms to simultaneously capture and sequester CO₂, nitrogen, and phosphorus from water. Deployed for aquaculture, industrial wastewater, and sewage, it provides infrastructure that enables both decarbonization and resource circularity.

Our company provides stand-alone power supply systems powered by FLEXIINA®, a flexible thermoelectric generation module that efficiently recovers electricity from low-temperature waste heat below 300°C with superior cost performance. Utilizing this technology, we propose new business partnerships with our customers in areas such as kW-scale energy efficiency solutions and battery-free power for IoT devices.

Founded in 2022 as a startup originating from Kyoto Prefectural University, Future Food R&D Center focuses on the development of rice cultivation technologies centered on “Kyo-no-Yume (Kyoto Dream),” a dwarf rice variety approximately 20 cm tall. This variety enables multi-layer and year-round cultivation in indoor facilities. Leveraging its suitability for grain production in plant factories, the company envisions food production in repurposed schools, vacant urban buildings, and arid regions. In addition, the company conducts research in environmentally sustainable agriculture and edible insects as core research themes, expanding into product development and consulting services. It also engages in the sale of Kyo-no-Yume seeds and related products, as well as contract research projects.

This venture company originated from the Electrochemistry Laboratory of Kansai University and provides innovative lithium-ion batteries and technologies with the vision of "making the world sustainable with storage battery technology". Ionic liquid lithium-ion batteries, which use non-flammable ionic liquids as electrolytes, are also used in space applications as highly reliable storage batteries that do not pose a risk of ignition. We will develop and provide water-based cathode manufacturing technology that can reduce costs and environmental impact at the same time to existing lithium-ion battery production lines.
