As a startup company originating from the University of Hyogo, we are developing perovskite solar cells that could serve as core power sources, leveraging features such as the use of indium-free glass substrates (FTO), high durability, and manufacturing methods using printing technology entirely in atmospheric conditions.

A startup originating from Kyoto University’s Disaster Prevention Research Institute that provides integrated water resources management (IWRM) services. We offer customized, sector-specific solutions powered by three core capabilities: water-cycle analysis based on 30 years of research, a global database containing 250 years of hydrological and physical data, and an analytical platform that forecasts and visualizes regional water resources. By quantitatively assessing how climate change, human activities, and land-use changes impact agriculture, industry, cities, power generation, and ecosystems, we help businesses and municipalities identify and disclose water-related risks and implement effective adaptation measures.

CONNEXX SYSTEMS was established with the mission of contributing to the creation of a sustainable and resilient society by promoting energy self-sufficiency in countries and regions around the world through innovative battery technologies. Currently, the company develops and deploys energy storage systems (ESS) based on lithium-ion batteries, while also engaging in the development and demonstration of EnePOND®, an energy storage system that reuses second-life EV batteries utilizing proprietary technologies, as well as SHUTTLE Battery™, an ultra-high-energy-density innovative battery based on iron redox reactions.

This tower-type concentrating solar system with a rotating tracking function can be installed on south-facing walls, verandas, or balconies, and can be safely and easily constructed and maintained, making it suitable for use in apartment complexes and other multi-family housing where rooftops are not readily accessible. Its greatest features are its cylindrical solar concentrator equipped with a group of rotating mirrors totalling approximately 1 square meter, and its versatility in switching between heat and power sources. Its use-switching function also makes it suitable for preparing for natural disasters.

LEP is a startup from Osaka University developing glowing plants. Leveraging its proprietary bioluminescent protein technology, LEP has successfully created plants that emit light without using electricity, with the capability to produce multi-color luminescence across a wide range of plant species. LEP aims to combine ornamental value with reduced environmental impact cutting CO₂ emissions.
