With more than 30 years of experience in developing tactile and sensory measurement technologies, Jun Wada founded Hapquitous in 2023 upon turning 60. Guided by the mission of “bringing the potential of sensation and perception to anyone, anywhere,” Hapquitous developed Pain Compass®, a novel device based on the Thermal Grill Illusion (TGI). The system provides a three-minute assessment that objectively evaluates stress-related hypersensitivity in the brain and visualizes presenteeism—conditions that typically remain hidden in the workplace. Hapquitous offers an integrated solution that connects measurement → intervention (acupuncture, exercise, psychological support) → follow-up assessment, enabling early detection and improvement of employee well-being. Hapquitous is currently conducting collaborative research with ten institutions, including Kyoto Tachibana University, Kio University, and the University of Tokyo School of Medicine.

It is well established that drivers’ spatial cognitive abilities are closely linked to traffic accident risk. Our company is committed to advancing driver safety and extending driver retirement age by leveraging proprietary technologies that enable the quantitative assessment and targeted training of spatial cognition ability.

We provide a system that analyzes medical images using AI and outputs musculoskeletal data.

A startup overcoming challenges in exosome purification with proprietary high-purity, high-yield technology, offering end-to-end support from research to manufacturing. It accelerates practical applications in drug discovery, contributing to a new foundation for pharmaceutical development and driving medical innovation.

We develop and sell therapeutic drugs and skin care cosmetics, focusing on drug transdermal absorption technology that can absorb both water-soluble and hydrophobic compounds of large molecular weight. In particular, in joint research with Kobe University, we found that carbon dioxide transdermal absorption has an increase and activation effect on mitochondria, and it has been revealed that it can safely increase muscle strength, promote healing of wounds/fractures, and inhibit scarring, partial weight loss by promoting fat metabolism, and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Some products are on the market not only in Japan but also in other countries.
