Hamamatsu startup GREEN OFFSHORE has developed GO SWITCH, an agricultural system that remotely controls irrigation and ventilation in greenhouses via smartphone. The system can be installed for about 150,000 yen per greenhouse, or 7,000 yen per month, making it affordable for small- and medium-scale farmers.

Speaking at a presentation at the Nagoya Innovators Garage, Director Mitsuyoshi Oki said, “we are aiming for smart farming that is ‘worth the investment’ by thoroughly reducing the introduction cost and allowing farmers to recoup their money.”

Since its launch in August 2024, the company has continued steady door-to-door sales, and in May launched an e-commerce site. In the future, the company will expand its support to remote control of blowers and heating equipment, driving productivity improvement in agricultural areas where manpower is in short supply.
