Niigata Foodtech Town Launches Full Operation with Unified Government-Industry-Academic Partnership

The Niigata Foodtech Town (NFTT), promoted by Oisix-la-daichi and NSG Group, officially launched in April 2026 with establishment of its executive committee. This initiative aims to create a world-class foodtech ecosystem centered in Niigata, targeting the creation of 500 startups and 500 billion yen in cumulative sales. The project leverages Niigata's strengths as a leading rice producer with rich marine and mountain resources and fermentation traditions, with universities playing key roles in talent development and research.
