The reason these bacteria survive even at 100℃ is their ability to synthesize a robust structure called a spore. We have discovered that substance Y inhibits spore formation, and by incorporating it into alcohol-based sanitizers sterilization becomes possible. Furthermore, substance Y is safe and secure; when added to food products, the bacteria can be killed by heating at 100℃. We are therefore also proposing a new sterilization method.
