Tochigi Prefecture has released its ‘Guidelines for Supporting Startup Companies in Tochigi Prefecture,’ a policy designed to actively support local startup companies. The new guidelines are intended to promote local entrepreneurship and foster creativity among students and researchers.
Based on the national ‘Five-Year Startup Development Plan’ launched by the government in November 2022, the policy was put together in collaboration with businesses, local government, and startups. The goal is to address issues such as a lack of information sharing among support organizations in the prefecture.
The program will focus on exchange meetings and pitch events with startups both within and outside the prefecture.
